Anthony Wu is one of Canada’s most knowledgeable and experienced Asian art specialists. With an emphasis on Chinese art and antiques, his company Anthony Wu Art Consultants also specializes in the arts of Japan, Korea, the Himalayas, India, and Southeast Asia.Before forming his art-consulting firm, Anthony was the Asian Art department head for ten years at two of Canada’s largest regional auction houses.Based in Toronto, Anthony is an Asian Art consultant, researcher and appraiser for various auction houses, museums, and private clients in Canada and the USA.Anthony has a B.A. and M.A. in Art History from the University of Toronto. He is a contributor to Orientations magazine in Hong Kong, and on the board of the Gardiner Museum, the Canadian Society of Decorative Arts and the Canadian Association of Personal Property Appraisers.Anthony is passionate about Asian decorative arts and frequently travels the world to visit museum collections, private clients and auction previews. He also owns one of the largest private Asian art libraries in Canada with over 3000 volumes consisting primarily of auction and exhibition catalogs.
