Christian Trabue is a personal property appraiser with specialty in art and antiques. Beginning in 2002, Christian owned and operated her own personal property appraisal business. In 2005, while she continued to build her appraisal business, she designed and oversaw the construction of a new art gallery located in a historic property in Louisville. For the next two years, she managed and curated the art exhibitions in that space. By 2009, Christian’s appraisal business was thriving when she was approached by Enservio and decided to join the staff there as a Project Manager, Fine Art Appraiser, and eventually a Review Appraiser. She remained at Enservio for 15 years. In August of 2024, Christian became the Assistant Vice President of Personal Property and a Fine Art Appraiser at J.S. Held. She received a B.A. in Art History from Centre College and attended the University of Louisville for the Master’s program in Art History. She completed and passed the Appraisal Studies Program at New York University in 2002. Christian Trabue is USPAP compliant and is a member of the Appraisers Association of America. Christian occasionally writes for art and insurance publications about art and appraisal; has appeared as an art appraisal expert on National Public Radio; has been a speaker as a personal property valuations expert at major U.S. insurance conferences; and provides regular trainings to insurance adjusters and Special Investigations Units concerning fraud in personal property valuation claims.
