Fiona Lamb, Appraiser of Fine Art, is responsible for providing appraisals for estate tax, insurance, charitable donation, and gift tax purposes. She specializes in modern, post-war and contemporary art. Early in her tenure at Gurr Johns, first as a Research Associate, then a Junior Appraiser, she provided executive and research support to the Deputy Chairman and larger team of Senior Specialists. In her current role as an Appraiser of Fine Art, Fiona assists with numerous prominent fine art collections and provides expert valuations that guide clients in making informed decisions regarding acquisitions, sales, and the preservation of their artworks.Prior to joining Gurr Johns, Fiona acquired nearly ten years of experience at various fine art museums and an art consulting firm and gallery space in the Northern and Southern California regions. She held curatorial and research-oriented roles as well as internships at notable institutions such as the Bowers Museum, Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, and Mission of San Juan Capistrano, working in their respective permanent and special collections.Fiona holds an MA in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art and Claremont Graduate University, Los Angeles, and a BA in Art History from California State University, Fullerton. Fiona’s appraisals are compliant with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
