Is compliant with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, (USPAP) through 07/22/2027 and is a Life Certified Member of the Appraisers Association of America organization and has specialized in two areas: 1) American Furniture and Decorative Arts, and 2) English and European Furniture and Decorative Arts. Louise has over 40 years of experience in the appraisal field and has also been an instructor at New York University and The Parsons School of Design, working closely with Interior Designers and Appraisers. In addition, Louise has an extensive global appreciation and solid knowledge of the fine and decorative arts, having operated a family-owned antique business for over fifteen years as a dealer in eighteenth and nineteenth- century French and English furniture and decorative arts. Of late, her interest has focused on Environmentally Sustainable Design in Furniture and Decorative Arts, which is a specialty field that has become an important one celebrating the work of highly skilled international contemporary pioneering artists such as John Makepeace OBE, Mark Fish, and Nic Webb; represented by Sarah Myerscough Gallery 56. Louise’s commitment to the field is highlighted by her beliefs that “we must conserve our natural resources, promoting healthier living spaces by using natural, non-toxic materials and ultimately contributing to a more sustainable and beautiful planet for future generations.”
