Michael Laird, MLIS, AAA, is Certified in the appraisal of Rare and Antiquarian Printed Books. In 1989 he earned a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Texas at Austin. Since 1992 he has been a full-time rare book dealer and appraiser. From 2008 to 2013 he taught graduate level courses on Rare Books and Special Collections at The University of Texas at Austin. He is a senior appraiser of rare books and manuscripts for Winston Art Group (New York) and Gurr Johns (New York). Michael Laird is the sole proprietor of Michael Laird Rare Books LLC, and is a member in good standing of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America.
