Sharon Chrust is a Past President of the Board of the Appraisers Association of America, and is a Certified member of Post-War, Contemporary, and Emerging Art - which includes twentieth and twenty-first century sculpture, painting, works on paper, prints, and photography. In addition, she is an instructor in the Appraisers Association of America's CASP program.Sharon has been involved in the Contemporary Art Market for over twenty five years; providing appraisal as well as art consulting services to private and corporate clients. Prior experience as the President of the Board of a Non-Profit Arts organization, a gallery director, a docent at the Whitney Museum of American Art, and a position in the public relations department of the Cooper Hewitt Museum, combined with an MA in Art History, and a Certificate of Appraisal Studies from NYU give her a broad base of knowledge in Contemporary Art. In addition, Sharon has successfully completed a 15-hour course and examination on the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
