Soodie Beasley is a Certified Member of the Appraisers Association of America (AAA) in 20th-Century Decorative Arts and Design and an accredited member in Latin American Art. She is also an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers in Fine Arts and Antiques & Decorative Arts.With over 30 years of experience in fine art, decorative arts, and interior design, Beasley has specialized in professional appraisal services since 2002. Her practice includes insurance, damage and loss claims, equitable distribution, litigation support, and other non-tax-related valuation matters.Beasley served on the Executive Board of the American Society of Appraisers and presented at major conferences for the Appraisers Association of America (2014), the International Society of Appraisers (2014), and the American Society of Appraisers (2019). She is also a published author, contributing to the Journal of Advanced Appraisal Studies (2009–2014) and the Digital Journal of Advanced Appraisal Practice (2019). She has completed the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) since 2003.She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Art History, a Post-Baccalaureate in Interior Architecture, and a Certificate in Appraisal Studies. She taught Art History, History of Interior Design, History of Graphic Design, and Study Abroad programs at Park University and the Kansas City Art Institute for 16 years.Beasley currently serves on the Cultural Heritage Coordinating Committee (CHCC) Cultural Antiquities Task Force (CATF) with the U.S. Department of State, supporting efforts to protect and preserve cultural heritage and combat the illicit trafficking of art and cultural property.
