ABOUT — Olal'Art | 更+当代 0 Our Story Founded in November 2021 by Yalin Chen and Joy Wei Fallenius, Olal’Art is a creative venture born from a lifelong friendship. Their story began in Shanghai, where they grew up, before fate reunited them in London 18 years ago. Despite living in different cities—Paris, Hong Kong, and Beijing—their bond endured, eventually bringing them to Singapore, where they transformed their shared passion for art into a joint vision. The name Olal’Art is inspired by the French exclamation “ohlala”—an expression of delight, surprise, and wonder. In the same spirit, the gallery seeks to spark curiosity and joy through art, weaving together Chinese and French influences in fresh and unexpected ways. Memorable and evocative, the name perfectly encapsulates our mission: to intrigue, inspire, and invite people into the vibrant world of art. At Olal’Art, we believe that art is a conversation. Through dialogues, interviews, and curated experiences, we connect art lovers directly with artists, revealing the stories, emotions, and intentions behind each work.
