About Search this site Embedded Files Skip to main content Skip to navigation About 드로잉룸(dR)은 2019년 4월 서울, 용산에 설립하여 2022년 4월 종로 서촌으로 이전하였으며, 시대성과 작가정신을 지향하는 현대미술의 친숙한 경험 전달을 위한 상업 전시 공간이다. dR은 동시대 작가의 시각 언어를 이끌고 움직이는(draw) 매개체 역할에 충실하고자 한다. 대중에게 예술가들이 제시한 아이디어를 연결하여 시너지를 만드는 공간이자 새로운 취향을 발견할 수 있도록 지지하는 조력자로 미술시장의 다양성을 추구한다. 국내 작가의 해외 진출 및 해외 작가의 국내 전시 기획과 다양한 프로젝트를 통한 작가와의 협업 및 프로모션으로 상호간의 성장을 도모한다. 2019년 부터 진행된 dR 연간 프로그램 <신진작가 지원 프로그램>은 신진작가 발굴 및 개인전 지원으로 신진작가들이 상업씬에서 활동할 수 있는 플랫폼을 제공하고자 한다. drawingRoom (dR) is a contemporary art gallery founded in 2019 located in Seochon, Seoul. As a commercial exhibition space, dR is committed to fostering long-term growth alongside artists and collectors through a curatorial program grounded in contemporary artistic vision. dR positions itself as a mediating platform that draws artistic discourses and embraces the diversity of the art market through sustained exhibitions, research, collaborations with international institutions, and engagement with collectors. Since its founding, dR has operated its annual ‘Emerging Artists Program’, dedicated to discovering and supporting artists through solo exhibitions and providing a platform for their entry into the commercial art scene. The gallery actively supports the global expansion of Korean artists while introducing international artists to the local scene.
