Blum Artist, educator, and founder of 7811 Gallery, Deborah serves as curator and director of the gallery, which specializes in painting, collage, assemblage and photography. These are also Deborah’s medium in her own personal art practice. A film lover, she recently completed a documentary film with her partner Warren about her family history called “LAEMMLE’S LIST.” Deborah studied art at The Brentwood Art Center, Brown University and Rhode Island School of Design, and has a B.A. degree in English from UCLA. She is also a trained Waldorf teacher and taught in Kenya for several years, where she also enjoyed learning about African art. Warren Blum With over 25 years experience in real estate management and law, Warren is co-founder of 7811 Gallery and Chief of Operations. A graduate of Loyola Law School (Summa Cum Laude) and Sonoma State College, he is an integral part of the Melrose Arts District. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Melrose Business Improvement District (Melrose BID) where he helps implement community improvements. A creative composer, he plays piano and has scored several films, including “LAEMMLE’S LIST,” which he also co-directed with Deborah.
