About the Club - Chelsea Arts Club live About the Club The Chelsea Arts Club is owned by its Members and operated on their behalf as a not for profit mutual. You can read more about how that works here . All our Members share a passionate belief in the importance of a creative approach to life. For them the Club is a home from home, somewhere to come after a hard day in the studio where they can be sure that they and their guests will receive a warm welcome. Under the constitution of the Club, two thirds of the Members have to be practising artists – painters, sculptors, designers, photographers, architects; most of the others work in the arts too, as actors, writers, dancers, musicians, curators… For more information about Membership, please visit the Membership page . The Clubhouse Our home in Old Church Street has been described as a rambling country rectory. There’s a Billiards Room, with a bar and a snooker table; a Dining Room, with its Members’ table at which James Whistler once entertained Monet; and a large secluded garden. Drinks and food Our kitchens are open seven days a week. A bar menu is offered in the Billiards Room with choices ranging from light food, sandwiches and salads to hearty hot dishes including curries and fish and chips. In the Dining Room there is a set menu, the Artist’s Menu , and a full à la carte menu plus an extensive wine list.…
