621 Gallery is a nonprofit arts exhibition and programs space located in Railroad Square Art Park in a former 1940s lumber warehouse. The original gallery space was established in 1981 and then incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 1989. The governing force behind 621 Gallery is the Board of Directors who are members of the Tallahassee community with an interest in sustaining the arts. With the help of dedicated volunteers and interns 621 Gallery continues to be the primary outlet for contemporary arts in the region. MISSION 621 Gallery exists to platform significant conversations around our diverse communities, support artists careers, and reduce barriers to engagement with the arts. Our audience is connected to shifting cultural landscapes and meaningful ideas that empower. VALUES We believe that artists are essential to the fabric of the community. We strive to steward, develop, and support their ideas as facilitators of examination, stimulation, and provocation. We believe in a community of individuals that express themselves freely.
