Galería Elvira Moreno is a space dedicated to research, experimentation, and progressive thinking focused on exhibitions exploring contemporary art’s significance, the historical international influences exerted by Latin American art, the recovery of fundamental and transcendental artists that succumbed to the AIDS epidemic, and new approaches based on marginal manifestos. Since its inception, its director, Elvira Moreno, has led a rigorous, multidisciplinary, and inclusive approach with a primary mission to foster a consistent and lasting artistic dialogue through a diverse, thoughtful, and all-encompassing approach underpinned by thorough research. This has led to the discovery of 20th-century systematically marginalized artists’ legacies and new languages in contemporaneity in the 21st century, thus leading to a comprehensive and broader understanding of new artistic languages and paradigms in contemporary Latin American Art.
