--> About AF top of page Skip to Main Content THE AF STORY COLLECTION GALLERY 818 MURAL LABYRINTH SCULPTURE GARDEN AF's museum gallery in its new location on Tombstone Canyon Road Founded in 2019 by artist, entrepreneur, and collector Sloane Bouchever, a native New Yorker who made Bisbee home in 1990, AF is an immersive art experience celebrating graffiti and street expression. Curated to provoke thought and spark curiosity, AF invites visitors to explore powerful visual stories that challenge convention and connect across cultures. Each space within AF encourages discovery, reflection, and inspiration, offering an ever-changing encounter with the transformative energy of art. WHAT'S IN A NAME? Artemizia's name honors 17th-century trailblazer and artist Artemisia Gentileschi, who is known for filling her work with images of empowered women – a rare and revolutionary act for her time. With her paintbrush, Artemisia fought inequality, reimagined what it meant to be a female artist, and represents our dedication to social justice and empowerment through art. To make room for the ever-growing collection, AF moved from a gallery space in downtown Bisbee to its current location in the old schoolhouse in 2023.
