Prior to opening the gallery on Newbury Street in Boston in 1989, Beth Urdang graduated with a BFA and MA in Painting and subsequently worked in NY as the Associate Director of the Zabriskie Gallery on 57th Street and the Director of Jeffrey Hoffeld & Co. on Madison Avenue from 1973-1984. After 25 years on Newbury Street in Boston and 5 years in SOWA, the gallery re-located in 2020 to a large permanent space at 15 Central Street in Wellesley, MA and has continued a program of rotating exhibitions in the window at 15 Grove Street a block away (visible from the street) that we initiated in 2009. The Grove Street location is open by appointment. In addition to outstanding solo exhibitions of contemporary art, theme exhibitions of museum quality - often spanning the period 1915 to the present - are a unique aspect of the gallery.…
