Located on Mingshui Road in the rezoned Dazhi district of Taipei, the gallery was the first to be founded in what is now recognized as the Taipei Art District. Over the past three decades, we have cultivated a distinctive curatorial identity by representing seminal works of iconic Taiwanese artists and significant figures in contemporary Chinese art. By engaging deeply with the trajectory of Asian art history, we have developed a viewpoint that uses Taiwan as a cultural compass to explore the broader landscape of global art. In response to the evolving dynamics of contemporary art—marked by the decline of grand narratives and the rise of philosophical inquiry and pluralism—we established an interdisciplinary space adjacent to the original gallery in 2012. This space regularly hosts forums and serves as a platform for emerging contemporary artists to experiment with diverse media and forms.
