Founded in 2008, Kimreeaa Gallery has steadily developed a reputation as a dynamic space for contemporary art, guided by a deep interest in how curatorial vision and architectural thinking can reshape the experience of viewing art. Rather than adhering to a single aesthetic direction, the gallery has cultivated a program that embraces experimental practices, new material approaches, and works that challenge conventional modes of perception. A significant part of this mission is reflected in the gallery’s long-running Majoongmool project, launched in 2014. Conceived as a platform for emerging artists, the project introduces new voices each year through a group exhibition, while offering one selected artist the opportunity for a dedicated solo presentation. This initiative has become a meaningful entry point for many young artists within Korea’s contemporary art landscape, fostering visibility and long-term development. Beyond its regular exhibition program, Kimreeaa Gallery has expanded its activities into public art installations, site-specific commissions, and collaborations with cultural institutions. These projects extend the gallery’s commitment to supporting artistic experimentation in diverse contexts, allowing artists to engage directly with urban environments and broader audiences.
