kg — About kg kg About The Gallery Kirchgasse Gallery was founded in 2016 by Erich and Heidy Hausammann and Leo Lencsés, who was the gallery's artistic director for the next four years. Anne Gruber, who distinctively developed the galleries program, took over as artistic director in 2019, running the gallery alone from 2021 to 2026. In 2026, three artists joined the gallery's board alongside Chantal Kaufmann, supporting its structure, broadening its international reach, deepening its local entanglement, and specifying its socio-economic responsibility. They define the gallery as a liminal space and tentatively seeking a sustainable, critical and educational business model.
