In the summer of 2021, the facility was converted into an experimental cultural site that is unique in Berlin. The Kunstbrücke am Wildenbruch (art bridge) comprises four small exhibition rooms that are still reminiscent of the original use. The outdoor area includes a large art wall, which is an eye-catcher from the opposite bank, as well as the old dock on the Neukölln shipping canal. In this – due to its location and history – unusual “place”, artists and curators develop a wide variety of projects – from exhibitions to various events to actions in public spaces. Berlins famous unusual art and cultural spaces are slowly disappearing. Events in such places are still very popular among young and old audience; artists long for spaces that provoke an engagement with them.…
