How it Began The space started to gained recognition for its fearless curation and commitment to socially engaged, thought-provoking work. The space showcased artists addressing pressing themes while encouraging experimentation beyond traditional exhibition formats, laying the foundation for a multidisciplinary approach that blended art with performance, sound, fashion, and food. Today Now situated in Downtown Los Angeles, Mère Ubu has evolved into a larger, more immersive environment capable of hosting expansive installations, live performances, experimental film, and interactive storytelling.
