Morrison Gallery was founded in 1999 by owner William Morrison with his passion for the arts, and began to attract artists from across the Northeast. Morrison's vision quickly took hold and grew, alongside the physical gallery, which became renowned for its major exhibitions in a museum-like space. The gallery’s influence has since expanded well beyond Connecticut, curating major sculpture installations in New York City to The Jing'an International Sculpture Park in the heart of Shanghai, among other notable exhibitions across the international landscape. Morrison Gallery has been described as "the linchpin of Litchfield County’s art scene" by The New York Times, representing large collections of national and international artists. The gallery represents important Abstract Expressionist, Pop, and American Post-War estates. In 2024, Morrison Gallery completed the construction of its newly built 6,500-square-foot gallery with 24-foot-tall ceilings, allowing it to exhibit monumental works inside, as well as the grounds for sculpture throughout the property. Morrison’s guiding concept continues to bring the collective creativity of global artists into a modern space that inspires.
