About — Prairie The prairie is a feeling rather than a place… Prairie is an ever evolving visionary community focused on the arts in all forms, a constellation of makers near and far. From the mind of multi-disciplinary artist, Jillian Solotes, Prairie has emerged as a holding space for artists who seek and share a sense of belonging to the infinite nature of discovery. Like the plains of the western United States, Prairie evokes a feeling of new, uncharted territory upon which contemporary pioneers are exploring personal desires and ideas through their craft. In this community of feeling, artists are building a sense of home on intangible ground, evoking a neighborly kindness with others who also take refuge in the comfort of placelessness.
