The gallery exhibits a wide range of fine-art photography including individual member shows, gallery-wide themed exhibits, national competitions and prestigious guest exhibitions. Soho Photo offers its members the unique opportunity of being a part of a diverse community of fellow photographers and personal growth as a fine-art photographer. The gallery also offers workshops, lectures and other programming open to the public. We invite photographers who would like to join the gallery to submit a portfolio for review. ​ A Brief History SOHO PHOTO GALLERY was founded in 1971 by a group of New York Times photographers that believed there was a need in the photographic community for a cooperative gallery where serious photographers could exhibit their personal work and exchange ideas, learn and grow as artists. The group rented a loft space at Prince St. and West Broadway. Soho Photo was in business and offered an alternative to uptown commercial galleries. With membership growing and pressed for more space, the gallery moved to W. 13th St. in Greenwich Village after just one year. In 1979, Soho Photo relocated to 15 White St. in Tribeca, a former egg warehouse that provided greatly expanded exhibition space. After 45 years in Tribeca, Soho Photo Gallery relocated to 539 W.…
