About - Spanierman Modern Skip to content I have nearly 40 years of experience in the New York artworld . My chief philisophy has always been to seek out quality and accomplishment rather than name recognition. This philosophy has given me the opportunity to spotlight and contextualize the work of underrepresented, mid to late-career artists; revealing how these hidden figures have advanced the discourse of modernism and art history. I began my career at Spanierman Gallery, one of Manhattan’s foremost galleries, founded by my father Ira Spanierman. After serving for many years as director of the Upper East Side stalwart, I became the founding director of Spanierman Modern in 2005. I have had the honor of working closely with some of the world’s finest museums, auction houses, and private collectors. I can offer curatorial guidance for those wishing to build a fine personal collection, an investment that will garner esteem, relevance, and value in years to come. Currently, I represent the estates of Sam MIddleton, and Felrath Hines. Though there longer is a a traditional brick and mortar space to hold exhibitions, I remain at your service. In addition to the artworks featured on our website, the gallery also offers a selection of secondary market works. We encourage you to reach out for information on our current offerings, which may include works not listed.…
