About - StArt Art Gallery Skip to content About Us TEMPORARY EXHIBITION HIATUS: While we aren’t currently running an exhibition programme, you can find art for sale at The Sweet Side of Thingz on Independence Avenue , a cosy café whose owners have a passion for the arts. Our StArt Storeroom in Windhoek can also be visited by appointment and hosts a wide array of works by different artists. For the time-being we are focusing on consulting projects and heritage work. However, you can view past exhibitions on the exhibitions page of this website or check out our social media . StArt Art Gallery shows the work of some of Namibia’s most exciting contemporary artists. We curate critical projects that add to the growing archive of information available to researchers, collectors and art enthusiasts. The gallery was established in 2017 in Windhoek, Namibia with a view to create a supportive environment for contemporary artists, exposing their work to a wider local and international audience. StArt Art Gallery was founded by Helen Harris and Gina Figueira. StArt Art Gallery continues to be managed by Helen Harris, whose approach to curation is influenced by her background in sculpture and art history. Since 2017 StArt Art Gallery has held a varied programme of exhibitions at its former premises as well as at the Goethe-Institut, the National Art Gallery of Namibia and various pop-up locations.…
