At the heart of our space is curation. Our approach encourages audiences to engage with art firsthand, reflecting our belief that art is meant to be experienced in person. TINT showcases contemporary women artists, with an emphasis on art that demonstrates technical skills in craftsmanship, artisanry, and originality in use of materials. Our programming bridges global and local talent—introducing U.S. audiences to acclaimed international artists debuting stateside, while spotlighting innovative local artists. Established in October 2021, TINT is an active member of the San Francisco Art Dealers Association (SFADA). Founder and curator Michelle Edelman is an art historian, stone sculptor, and lawyer. She holds an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, an MA in art history from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London, and a JD from The George Washington University. Michelle loves searching for undiscovered gems in the contemporary art world. She created TINT to share her finds, to celebrate artistic talent, and to cultivate community through art.
