Our Collection - Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft Our Collection Our nationally significant collection reflects the core practices of the Guild of St Joseph and St Dominic – direct carving, wood engraving, printing, typography, weaving and silversmithing – alongside works by other prominent artists who lived and worked in Ditchling. The collection continues to grow, thanks to generous donations and acquisitions. How We Share It The museum presents a frequently changing programme of exhibitions and displays, bringing together objects from our collection with loans from major institutions. We always have a selection of items from our collection on display – sometimes more, sometimes fewer – depending on the nature of our temporary exhibitions. Research + Access We welcome researchers and students to explore our collection by appointment. Our resources include artist monographs, private press books, journals, correspondence and more. We’re also working to make our collection accessible online. Please note, due to the temporary closure of the museum we are unable to accommodate research visits at this time. Acquisitions We are grateful for the generosity of those who have contributed to our collection. As an accredited museum, we follow a strict acquisitions policy. You can view our Collections Development Policy below. If you have an item you’d like to donate, please contact us with images and details. Submissions are reviewed quarterly by our Collection Development Committee.…
