Dealers get creative pairing artists at Duet—just don’t call it an art fair

Duet, a pop-up exhibition conceived by curators Zoe Lukov and Kyle DeWoody, debuts in Manhattan’s Financial District with 11 galleries and a group show running until 8 September. Housed in the WSA building, each gallery occupies a glass-walled meeting room and pairs two artists around a thematic connection—such as Pace showing Nina Katchadourian with Matthew Day Jackson, or Galerie Sardine pairing Jenna Kaës with Anthony Banks. A group exhibition features works by Marina Abramović, Lynda Benglis, Maya Lin, Radcliffe Bailey, Karon Davis, Miles Greenberg, Carlos Motta, Sam Moyer, Brendan Fernandes, and Naama Tsabar, with performances by Fernandes and Tsabar.

Design Miami announces 2025 international events and exhibitions programme

Design Miami has announced its 2025 international events and exhibitions programme, dubbed Design Miami.In Situ, in celebration of its 20th anniversary. The initiative includes a one-day design event in Aspen with Range Rover on July 31, a 14-day exhibition in Seoul titled 'Illuminated: A Spotlight on Korean Design' in September, the third edition of its Paris fair at L'hôtel de Maisons in October, and the 21st edition of its flagship Miami Beach fair in December. The programme expands beyond the fair's traditional model, with events curated by Ashlee Harrison, Hyeyoung Cho, and Glenn Adamson.

Collectible design fair’s second New York outing marries ‘folly’ and practicality

The Collectible design fair returns to New York for its second edition, taking place from September 4-7 at the WSA building in the Financial District during Armory Week. Founded in Brussels in 2018 by Clélie Debehault and Liv Vaisberg, the fair brings together international galleries, designers, and architects for a curated showcase of 21st-century design. This year's edition occupies the 39th floor, spanning over 30,000 square feet, and features six curated sections including a buzzy section titled "In Praise of Folly" curated by Architectural Digest's Hannah Martin. Around 60% of exhibitors are from the United States, with the rest from Europe and beyond, including Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, South Korea, and Turkey.

Furniture gets a performative boost at Collectible design fair

Collectible design fair returned for its second edition in New York, taking over the entire 39th floor of the WSA building in Manhattan’s Financial District. The fair featured 123 exhibitors, many local, presenting limited-edition and unique design objects. Highlights included Tuleste Factory's lighting-heavy stand 'Afterglow' with ceramic lamps by Ethan Streicher, a collaborative living-room set by Streicher and Ian Love called the Kindred Collection, and a special-projects section with a performance dinner and a piercing station. Co-founder Liv Vaisberg emphasized the fair's curated, designer-centered approach and experimental spirit.
