Renowned performance artist Tino Sehgal has launched a major self-titled exhibition at the Museo de Arte de Zapopan (MAZ) in Guadalajara, Mexico. Staged on a historic pedestrian thoroughfare, the performance involves a 'hive mind' of participants who transition from slow-motion movements to jogging and engaging the public with intimate personal vignettes, creating an immersive experience that blurs the line between audience and performer.

The 2025 Met Gala, held on May 5 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, raised a record $31 million while celebrating the opening of the Costume Institute's new exhibition, "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" (May 10-October 26). The event's dress code, "Tailored for You," inspired attendees to embrace Black-dandy fashion, with guests including Rihanna, Cynthia Erivo, Stevie Wonder, and Kamala Harris. The exhibition, curated by Andrew Bolton and Monica L. Miller, explores the evolution of Black style in the Atlantic diaspora from the 18th century to today, drawing on Miller's 2009 book "Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity." It is the Costume Institute's first show to directly address race's impact on style and the Met's first menswear exhibition in over 20 years.

Beyond the Streets at La Villette’s Grande Halle: the exhibition dedicated to the legends of graffiti and street art

"Beyond the Streets," a major exhibition dedicated to graffiti and street art, opens at the Grande Halle de La Villette in Paris from May 27 to August 30, 2026. Featuring over 100 artists including Futura 2000, Shepard Fairey, Invader, JonOne, André Saraiva, Felipe Pantone, Mister Cartoon, Vhils, Yoshi Omori, JR, Ozzie Juarez, Nadya Tolokonnikova, Kenny Scharf, Paul Insect, and Tim Conlon, the show spans 3,600 square meters with historic works, new pieces, archives, and immersive installations. Highlights include a train car installation, a mural by JonOne, a gallery dedicated to Shepard Fairey, "The Cosmic Cave" by Kenny Scharf, "The Marionette Workshop" by Paul Insect, and a section on the Beastie Boys and French hip-hop, including outfits from Dapper Dan and T-shirts from Driss Dendoune's collection.
