Art Dubai Marks 20 Years with Special Edition Focused on Collaboration and Cultural Exchange – Friday, 15-17 May 2026.

Art Dubai returns to Madinat Jumeirah from 15–17 May 2026 for a special 20th-edition programme that reflects on the fair's evolution and reaffirms Dubai's role as a global cultural hub. Presented in partnership with A.R.M. Holding and Dubai Culture, the fair features approximately 75 presentations from commercial galleries, institutional partners, and cultural initiatives, with around 60% of participating galleries drawn from the region. Highlights include the Made Forward presentation from Dubai Collection, the 20th edition of the Global Art Forum titled 'Before and After Everything', and an exhibition of modern Arab art from the Barjeel Art Foundation. The fair also introduces an innovative risk-sharing model where booth costs are payable based on sales performance, and entry is free for all visitors.

Internationally acclaimed artist Nada Al Barazi presented her solo exhibition 'Gardens' at Intent Gallery in Dubai from May 9 to 13. The show featured a contemplative body of work exploring nature as an emotional and introspective experience, with layered textures, expressive color, and organic forms that invite viewers to reflect on memory, transformation, and renewal. Al Barazi, a holder of the UAE Golden Visa from Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, is recognized for her contributions to contemporary art in the Emirates and globally.

Art Smiley Gallery officially opens, welcoming government and diplomatic guests

Art Smiley Gallery officially opened its first physical location in Al Quoz 2, Dubai, on September 5, 2025, with the launch of the "Global Art Odyssey—Where Art Meets the World!" exhibition. The hybrid-format show features 35 artists from 16 countries and runs through October 5, 2025. Distinguished guests included Khalil Abdul Wahid, fine art director from Dubai Culture Authority; Emirati artist Ahmed Al Awadhi; and Sultana Faroua Kazim, global ambassador for UNESCO IAA. The opening also included a virtual component via Art Smiley's upgraded website.
