London is set to debut the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration in May 2026, a major new cultural hub located in a restored 18th-century waterworks building in Clerkenwell. The center will feature three galleries, a library, and learning spaces, opening with a solo exhibition titled 'Ever Feel Like…' by the rising illustration star MURUGIAH.
The Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia presents "Freedom Dreams," an exhibition exploring Black freedom through moving images, curated by Maori Karmael Holmes and James Claiborne. The Santa Barbara Museum of Art (SBMA) is hosting a major traveling exhibition, "The Impressionist Revolution: Monet to Matisse from the Dallas Museum of Art," alongside its own companion show, "Encore: 19th-Century Art from the Santa Barbara Museum of Art." The exhibition features works by Monet, Matisse, Pissarro, Berthe Morisot, and others, including rare pieces from SBMA's permanent collection such as Monet's "Villas in Bordighera." The show marks the 150th anniversary of the first Impressionist exhibition and includes related movements like Post-Impressionism, Pointillism, and Fauvism.
