The C/O Berlin gallery is presenting "Eyes to Fly With (Ojos para volar)," the first major retrospective in Germany of renowned Mexican photographer Graciela Iturbide. The exhibition, curated by Sophia Greiff and Melissa Harris in close collaboration with Iturbide, runs from February 7 to June 10 and features her iconic works like "Nuestra Señora de las Iguanas" alongside lesser-known series on fashion, the cholo community in Los Angeles, and her travels in India and Bangladesh.
The Association of International Photography Art Dealers (AIPAD) held its 45th annual Photography Show at New York City's Park Avenue Armory, featuring 77 exhibitors from North America, South America, Asia, Europe, and Australia. Johannesburg-based artist Hannelie Coetzee is the subject of a solo exhibition, “Eco Queer Creature Series,” at Morton Fine Art in Washington, D.C., on view through June 24. The show, an official partner event of WorldPride 2025, features drawings and studies of non-reproductive animal behavior, including a fox series based on a pack near Oxford University. Coetzee, who has a background in documentary photography and community development, returned to drawing in 2020 and uses the medium to explore animal behavior on its own terms, challenging patriarchal and anthropocentric assumptions.
