Roaring: Art, Fashion, and the Automobile in France, 1918–1939

The Saint Louis Art Museum is presenting "Roaring: Art, Fashion, and the Automobile in France, 1918–1939," a major exhibition on view from April 12 to July 27, 2025. Curated by Genevieve Cortinovis, the show brings together automobiles, haute couture, painting, sculpture, photography, film, and decorative arts to explore the intertwined evolution of fashion and car design in early 20th-century France. Major, International Touring Exhibition ‘Treasures of the Pharaohs’ Coming to the Kimbell Art Museum in 2027

The Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas, announced it will host the major international touring exhibition 'Treasures of the Pharaohs' from March 14 to September 19, 2027. Featuring 130 artifacts from the Egyptian Museum in Cairo and the Luxor Museum, the exhibition spans 3,000 years of ancient Egyptian history, including royal treasures, newly discovered objects from the 'Golden City' in the Valley of the Kings, and works from Dynasty I to the Ptolemaic period. The exhibition is currently on view at the Scuderie del Quirinale in Rome and will travel to the de Young museum in San Francisco before arriving at the Kimbell.

Egyptian exhibition will bring a 'staggering' amount of gold to Fort Worth’s Kimbell

The Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas, will host "Treasures of the Pharaohs," an exhibition of 130 ancient Egyptian artifacts including granite statues, gold jewelry, funerary masks, and sarcophagi, opening in March 2027. The show features Queen Ahhotep’s golden sarcophagus and recently unearthed objects from a worker’s community in the Valley of the Kings, on loan from the Luxor Museum and the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. It is currently on view in Rome and will travel to the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco before arriving in Fort Worth as its second and final North American stop.

Tutankhamun set to debut at delayed Grand Egyptian Museum opening

The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) will hold its official opening ceremony on November 1, more than 30 years after its initial proposal. The centerpiece of the inauguration is the Tutankhamun Gallery, featuring the famous gold funerary mask under bulletproof glass and a full-scale reproduction of the king's tomb. Designed by German studio Atelier Brückner, the gallery offers two narrative paths: one tracing Tutankhamun's life and reign, the other following Howard Carter's 1922 discovery. The museum, located near the Giza pyramids, has already been partially open to visitors, with conservation labs operating since 2010 and contemporary programming running for two years.
