Don Brown & Max Cole’s art in ‘Postcards From Home’ exhibit

The Michelson Museum of Art in Marshall, Texas, recently debuted 'Postcards from Home,' a collaborative exhibition featuring the works of regional artists Don Brown and Max Cole. The opening reception drew a significant local crowd, including three generations of Cole’s descendants, to celebrate the legacy of two figures who captured the landscapes and history of East Texas. The show, which runs through July 4, was organized in partnership with the Harrison County Historical Museum and the Meadows Museum of Art.

Thompsons to exhibit together at Stover Mill Gallery

Artists Emily and George Thompson are set to debut a joint exhibition titled “Double Feature: A Two-Person Show” at the historic Stover Mill Gallery in Erwinna, Pennsylvania. The exhibition juxtaposes Emily’s contemporary urban landscapes and architectural forms with George’s traditional landscape paintings, showcasing the creative dialogue between the couple who share a studio.

Special Private Tour and Luncheon Hosted by the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum

On April 25, 2026, the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum in Oradell, New Jersey, hosted a private tour and luncheon led by wildlife artist Dwayne Harty, whose exhibition "Bison Legacy" had recently concluded at the museum. The event welcomed over thirty guests, including friends of the artist and Foundation Board President James Bellis Jr. Harty, trained at the Art Students League of New York under Bob Kuhn, Robert Lougheed, and Clarence Tillenius, is known for his accurate and expressive wildlife depictions. The museum will present its Permanent Collection starting at the end of May 2026.

Great Neck library to host sculpture exhibition by Dr. Suzanne Posner

The Great Neck Library will host a summer sculpture exhibition titled "Swim or Fly" featuring works by local artist Dr. Suzanne Posner from May 1 through July 31 at the Main Library. The sculptures will be displayed atop bookshelves in the Reference Study Area, with a public reception on June 6. Posner, a direct carver with 30 years of experience working in stone, transitioned to full-time artistry after retiring from dentistry following a Parkinson's Disease diagnosis.
