New Exhibitions Opening Soon at Third Street Gallery

Three new exhibitions are opening at Moscow City Hall's Third Street Gallery and Box Gallery from October 16, 2025 to January 2, 2026. The shows include "Brooch the Subject," featuring wearable art by University of Idaho MFA candidate Chandra Drennen; "Covering the Palouse," a display of artist-designed covers from the historic Moscow Magazine/Palouse Journal; and "The Sweet Controversy," a student exhibition exploring divisive candies like licorice jellybeans and candy corn. A public reception with refreshments will be held on October 23.

BOX 13 ArtSpace in Houston Announces Open Call for Exhibition Proposals

BOX 13 ArtSpace, an artist-run studio and gallery venue in Houston’s East End neighborhood, has announced an open call for exhibition proposals for its 2026 season. The call invites self-directed artists to submit proposals for four gallery spaces within the building: the Front Gallery, Back Gallery, Window BOX Gallery, and Upstairs Gallery. Applicants must be prepared to install their own work or arrange for local assistance, as the space has no staff or budget for shipping, travel, or equipment. The deadline for proposals is September 30, 2025, with notifications by October 28, 2025. Virtual and in-person information sessions are scheduled for September 17 and 20, respectively.

Major Student Art Showcase Opens In West Hartford This Week

West Hartford is launching "Artbeat 2026," an annual townwide exhibition showcasing the creative achievements of students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Hosted at the West Hartford Art League’s Saltbox and Clubhouse galleries, the show features a diverse range of student work and kicks off with a public opening reception on March 18.
