New walking tour sees concrete walls turn into open-air galleries

A new walking tour in Auckland, New Zealand, celebrates 40 iconic street art murals created over the past 40 years in the city center. Supported by Auckland Council and the city centre targeted rate, the tour transforms concrete walls into open-air galleries, featuring works by artists including Sung Hwan ‘Bobby’ Park, Anzac Tasker, and Otis Frizzell. New murals were recently unveiled, including three light-based works in Cross Street and the Tiaki Promise 2026 mural near the New Zealand International Convention Centre, which explores Māori culture, Pacific migration, queer identity, and community values.

Raven’s Heart Gallery Summer Show Brings Live Art and Community to Kanab

Raven’s Heart Gallery in Kanab, Utah, will host its Summer Show on June 13, 2026, from 1–4 PM at 57 W. Center St. The free, interactive event features live art-making demonstrations by a roster of Southern Utah artists, including Gail Alger (acrylic animal painting), Angela Woods (oil painting), Rebekka Anderson (color reduction linocut printmaking), Ken Ragsdale (basket illusion technique on wood), David Lane (astrophotography), James Mosdell (lapidary work with Grand Canyon Opal), Ellie Mae Clough (mixed media on encaustic wax), and Gary Kalpakoff (wild mustang photography and metal sculpture). The signature artwork is Gail Alger's 'Raven in Flowers,' and large-scale oil paintings from Cyrus Mejía's 'The Vicktory Dog' and 'Mill Dogs Revenge' collections will also be on view. The gallery, home to more than 30 regional artists, will transform into a working studio with easels, paints, cameras, lapidary equipment, and printmaking presses.

A parking structure transforms to public art gallery

A parking structure at Lido Marina Village in Newport Beach is being transformed into a walkable public art gallery featuring murals by eleven artists. The project, organized by City of Hope Orange County and Lido Marina Village, centers on the theme “Hope is a Rising Tide.” Murals include depictions of City of Hope cancer patients and themes of science and innovation. The final mural, “Hope on the Horizon” by artist RFX1, measures 64 by 8 feet and is currently being completed. The space is free and open to the public.

New cultural space opens in Monchique with first art exhibition

A new cultural venue called Primavera Cultural is opening in Monchique, Portugal, in the former Primavera supermarket on Travessa das Guerreiras.
