The Rundown: Art on the Town

The Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts in Alabama is hosting a week of free public programs from May 26–31, including a drop-in art workshop (D.R.A.W.), a sensory Art Crawl for infants, a gallery talk titled "Meet Me: Composition Around Red, Pennsylvania," an opening reception for three new exhibitions celebrating 250 years of American independence, and a screening of the film "Frida Kahlo" in partnership with the Capri Theatre. All events are free with museum admission, and most require no registration.

Austin’s accessible “Touch the Art” exhibit returns with 80-plus artists and hands-on fun

The fourth annual "Touch the Art" exhibition has opened in East Austin, featuring over 80 artists and fully interactive, multisensory installations. Created in collaboration with the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, the show is designed to be fully accessible, with wheelchair access, Braille wall text, and NFC audio tags that allow visitors to hear artists describe their work. The exhibition runs from May 9 through July 5 at the expanded Canopy space.

Fourth Children’s Art Exhibition 2026 set to open - Vietnam Investment Review

The Lawrence S. Ting Foundation is presenting the fourth Children's Art Exhibition 2026, titled "Empower Light," opening on April 24 in Ho Chi Minh City and later in Hanoi. The exhibition features nearly 50 artworks and handcrafted pieces from students at eight special education schools and centers across Vietnam, curated by visual artist Ngo Dinh Bao Chau. It also includes picture books from a competition for children with disabilities and interactive activities.
