SPARC Gallery in South Pasadena is opening two concurrent exhibitions: "The Best of Times," a solo show by painter Clifford Bailey, and "Emerging Artists 2026," featuring three up-and-coming sports photographers. Four new free art exhibits have opened at the Morean Arts Center in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. Studio Joli has launched its 2026 programming with a new exhibition titled "Artistic Expressions" presented by Canvas Caribbean, an artists' group formed in 2004 by graduates of the visual arts programmes of the University of the West Indies (UWI). The City of Slidell and the Slidell Commission on the Arts have announced a call for student artists for the Salad Days 2026 juried exhibition, open to K–12 students ages 5–19 who live in or attend school in St. Tammany Parish. Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, will host “Grounded,” a joint exhibition featuring ceramicist Danielle Whigham and painter Emily McQueen, from January 13 to February 26, 2026, at the Te Paske Gallery. The Eide/Dalrymple Gallery at Augustana University will host its annual 'Augustana High School Invitational' from January 15 to February 6, 2025, featuring over 110 artworks by students from 22 regional high schools. On December 18, Grays Shopping Centre hosted Winter Welcome, a community celebration produced by Thurrock-based arts organization Together Productions in collaboration with Welcome to the UK. Keoni Mcfee, a former Guilford High School student who graduated in 2025 and now attends the University of Hartford, has been selected for the 2025 AP Art and Design Digital Exhibition presented by the College Board. His artwork, drawn from his AP Drawing Sustained Investigation, explores the relationship between human growth and nature using mixed media, collage techniques, and wild-style graffiti. Mcfee is one of only 51 student artists chosen from over 82,000 portfolios submitted worldwide.
The Art Spirit Gallery in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, faced backlash from the local art community after announcing an exhibition titled "No Permission Needed," featuring AI-generated images by Mike Baker, CEO of Heritage Health. The exhibition, which opened on Nov. 12, sparked nearly 200 comments on Facebook, with local artists calling the work "disgusting," "slop," and "unethical." The Witherspoon Artists Collective is holding an exhibition of paintings and drawings at the Arts Council of Princeton's Andrew Siegel Gallery from December 13 to January 3. Ridgeline High School in Millville, Utah, is presenting its seventh annual student art exhibition, "A Little Glimpse," at the Lyndsley Wilkerson Gallery in the Sorenson Legacy Foundation Center for Clinical Excellence on the Utah State University campus. A traveling exhibition titled "The Lost Paintings, A Prelude to Return" is on view at the Brookline Arts Center and Unbound Visual Arts in Brighton through December 17. The show reimagines 53 oil paintings by Palestinian-Lebanese artist Maroun Tomb, which were lost in the chaos of the Nakba and the 1948 Arab-Israeli war after his 1947 exhibition opened in Haifa on the same day the UN adopted the Partition Plan. Curators Rula Khoury, Haidi Motola, and Joëlle Tomb—Maroun's granddaughter—commissioned 53 contemporary artists from Palestine and the diaspora to create new works inspired by the original titles, using mediums including textiles, prints, paintings, sculptures, and video.
South Texas College’s Technology Campus Library Art Gallery presented its annual STC Alumni Series exhibit, featuring three former Visual Arts students: Elijah Dueñas, Irma Garza Garcia, and Michelle Ramirez. Applications are now open for the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery's 2026 Regional Artist Development (RAD) Exhibitions and Residencies program in New South Wales, Australia. The program offers three Artist in Residence opportunities and three exhibition opportunities, each including use of the gallery's E3 Art Space for up to four weeks, supported by funding from Create NSW. The Marion Hyde Retrospective has opened at the Tippetts & Eccles Galleries in the Chase Fine Arts Center at Utah State University. The exhibition celebrates the late Utah artist and educator Marion R. Hyde, who taught painting, drawing, printmaking, and art education at USU for 35 years, serving as department head. Curated by his son Matt Hyde (a current art teacher at Bear River High School) alongside current Art + Design Department Head Kathy Puzey, the show spans Hyde’s artistic journey from his master's thesis to his final works, including his last painting completed shortly before his death. The chronological display highlights his evolution through figurative work in the 1970s, woodcut prints of Mexican landscapes in the 1980s, a series on Park City in the 1990s, and later Utah landscapes focused on Capitol Reef.
An art exhibition called The Crow Gallery is opening in Westport, County Mayo, during the Westival 2025 arts and music festival. Housed in the vacant The Local public house on Castlebar Street, the show features work from local artists with disabilities and participants of an Open Call centered on disability justice. The exhibition explores perceptions of disability, challenges ableism, and aims to spark dialogue about inclusion. It is the first phase of a long-term project to establish a permanent gallery, coffee shop, gift shop, and artist studios where disabled and non-disabled artists collaborate, with people with disabilities leading the space. The project was inspired by local artist Maitiu Quinn and Amber Walsh, and is driven by Anna Wall, who participated in Social Entrepreneurs Ireland's Ideas Academy and a Mayo County Council Arts Office workshop facilitated by artist Kari Cahill.
The Nicolaysen Art Museum in Casper, Wyoming, is hosting an opening reception on October 9 for its new exhibition, the Arts Council Biennial Fellowship Exhibition: Wyoming Wind. Timaru artist Kerry Irvine opened a new exhibition at the York Street Gallery on Friday, October 3, 2025. The Timaru Herald chief photographer John Bisset attended the opening and captured images of attendees, including gallery owner Debbie Templeton-Page and her husband Tony Page, as well as local figures such as Tracey Hutchison, Jill Hinde, Sandra Kelly, and Joan Tonks.
A new nonprofit arts exhibition space called CLUSTER Museum will open on October 3 at 307 N. Main Street in downtown Ann Arbor. Co-founded by Thea A. Eck, Kim Debord, and Chien-An Yuan, the venue will focus on contemporary literary and visual arts, with a mission to build community by providing a physical hub for local and emerging artists. Its inaugural exhibition, “The Dam Broke: A Portrait on Tyranny,” runs from October 3–25 and features works by ten artists exploring fascism and authoritarianism, along with workshops, readings, and performances. All participating artists and writers will receive a stipend, and no submission fees are charged.
