Art charity takes over vineyard for exhibition

Art for Cure, a charity founded in 2014 by Belinda Gray after her own breast cancer diagnosis, is holding its annual exhibition at Wyken Vineyards near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, from May 1 to June 28. The show features over 200 sculptures and artworks by 30 sculptors and numerous other artists, displayed across the vineyard grounds and in the Leaping Hare restaurant. Up to 50% of sales commissions go to breast cancer research charities; the charity has raised £1.5 million to date from £3 million in art sales.

10 local schools to hold first cross-phase art exhibition

Ten schools within the Kesgrave Pyramid Partnership in Suffolk are collaborating for the first time to host a cross-phase art exhibition. Featuring work from approximately 4,000 students ranging from Year 1 to Year 13, the showcase centers on the theme "Fantasy vs Reality" and includes workshops led by local professional artist Jo Garrod-Spall.

International poster exhibition on display at UA School of Art

The University of Arkansas School of Art is hosting the United States International Poster Biennial at its Studio + Design Center in Fayetteville, featuring juried posters from designers worldwide, including works by university faculty, students, and alumni. A public reception on January 29 will include remarks by assistant professor Ryan Slone and the presentation of the Gold Award to MDES Fellow Andi Hardin for her poster "The Gratitude Magma – Yellowstone." The exhibition has also traveled to several other U.S. universities and will have international stops in 2026.

Art exhibition weekend raises more than £25,000

Three Suffolk women—journalists Mai Noman and Nicola Gooch, and curator Mary George—organized a weekend art exhibition titled 'From Suffolk to Gaza with Love' at Noman Studio in Monks Eleigh, raising over £25,000 for the UK charity Medical Aid for Palestinians. The event featured paintings and sculptures donated by 70 artists, attracted 200 attendees on opening night, and included Palestinian cultural elements such as oud music by Reem Anbar, Arabic cakes, and a talk by a Suffolk aid worker.

Sizewell C workers and community unite for ‘vibrant’ art exhibition in Leiston

A free touring art exhibition showcasing the creative talents of Sizewell C workers is now on display at the Live Well Hub in Leiston, Suffolk. Organized by Sizewell Creative, the exhibition features work from 18 artists, including 15 from the Sizewell C workforce and three local community artists, spanning photography, watercolor, and abstract designs. It launched in Barnby last year and opened in Leiston with a private viewing event, with plans to continue touring Suffolk.

‘Visions of Freedom’ America 250 exhibit opens in Riverhead

The Suffolk County Historical Society Museum in Riverhead has launched "Visions of Freedom: America 250," a multidisciplinary exhibition curated by the nonprofit Women Sharing Art. Featuring 45 works by 38 artists, the show utilizes painting, sculpture, mosaics, and fiber art to explore themes of democracy, empowerment, and the 250th anniversary of the United States. Key works include Sue Miller’s "Broken Barricades," which addresses gender-based social barriers, and Gail Neuman’s provocative sculptural interpretation of the U.S. Constitution.
