D’ART Gallery opens in Baku’s White City with inaugural “From Generation to Generation” exhibition [PHOTOS]

D’ART Gallery has opened in Baku’s White City district with its inaugural exhibition, “From Generation to Generation,” featuring nearly 50 works by Azerbaijani artists spanning multiple generations, including People’s Artists, Honoured Artists, and emerging painters, graphic artists, and sculptors. The gallery aims to bridge Azerbaijan’s historical artistic heritage with contemporary art, and all exhibited works are available for sale. The opening ceremony included remarks from notable figures such as sculptor Ömər Eldarov, Executive Director Rəvan Həsənov, Vice-Rector Fuad Salayev, and gallery co-founder and director Dilara Muzaffarli.

NJCU Gallery to Unveil "HOME HERE," a Site-Specific Installation by 11 Women Artists on February 5

New Jersey City University (NJCU) Galleries will open "HOME HERE," a site-specific installation featuring 11 women artists from Jersey City, on February 5, 2026. Curated by NJCU alumna Lucy Rovetto, the exhibition runs through March 5 and explores themes of history and memory through overlapping, boundary-less works. Featured artists include Laia Cabrera, Nicole DeMaio, Isabelle Duverger, Jaz Graf, Katelyn Halpern, Jin Jung, Pat Lay, Tina Maneca, Cheryl R. Riley, and Jennifer Roberts, with a tribute to former NJCU art department chair Ward Mount.

CALLING LOCAL ARTISTS: Submissions Now Open for 2025 Hispanic Heritage Month Art Exhibit

The Hispanic Heritage Network of Orange County (HHNOC) is now accepting submissions for its 2025 Hispanic Heritage Month Art Exhibit, themed "Collective Heritage: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future." Artists are invited to submit original visual artwork inspired by Hispanic heritage, with selected pieces to be displayed at the Orange County Administration Building in Downtown Orlando from September 8 to October 23, 2025, and at Orlando International Airport from September 10 to October 28, 2025. Submissions must be completed online by August 1, 2025, and include an artist statement and high-resolution images.

Northampton artist Michaela Stock has installed an exhibition titled 'Linescapes' at the city's senior center. The show features her unique dry erase marker drawings on large panels, creating intricate, temporary landscapes that will be erased at the end of the run.

Youth and Older Artists Collaborate on New Marin Art Exhibit Challenging Ageism

The Marin Cultural Association, in collaboration with Youth in Arts, presents “What About Age?,” a new exhibition at the Marin County Civic Center gallery from January 26 through May 6. The show features graphic art panels by New York-based writer and illustrator Aubrey Hirsch, originally curated by Dr. Stacey Gordon and displayed at NYU’s Kimmel Windows. Expanding on the original, Youth in Arts paired teen artists (ages 13-19) from its Intensive Arts Mentorship program with older adult artists (ages 65 and over) to create over 35 collaborative works challenging stereotypes about aging.

Calling all Black artists: Exhibit with BASE at Rogue Gallery

BASE is organizing an open call for Black artists of all ages and mediums to exhibit at Rogue Gallery & Art Center in Medford, Oregon, for Black History Month. The exhibition will run from January 20 to February 20, 2026, with artwork drop-off due by January 10. A featured component is the “Roots, Rhythm & Revolution” group showcase by BASE youth, and a closing reception is scheduled for February 20.
