20 Years of Art Refuge 2006-2026

An exhibition titled '20 Years of Art Refuge 2006-2026' opens May 13th in London, celebrating two decades of the UK-registered charity Art Refuge. The show features photographs, maps, films, and objects documenting the charity's work with displaced people in Nepal, France, the UK, and elsewhere, including recent projects '24X24 DUNKERQUE' and 'MADE TOGETHER'. ‘Scattered Memories’: Fragments That Refuse to Fade

The Goethe-Institut Sudan, in collaboration with the Humboldt Forum Berlin, presents 'Scattered Memories,' a transcontinental exhibition at the Goethe-Institut Kairo from 1 to 3 May 2026. The show features Sudanese artists working across collage, film, music, performance, food, and storytelling to explore themes of loss, remembrance, and cultural memory. Public programs include discussions, guided tours, and a traditional coffee corner, transforming the exhibition into a space for communal gathering and exchange.

Tracing the Traces Art Exhibit Opens at Oak Cliff Cultural Center

A solo exhibition titled "Tracing the Traces" by artist Chenxi Gao opens at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center in Dallas on Saturday, May 9, with a free reception from 6-8 p.m. Gao, a printmaking-based mixed-media artist from China, holds a BFA from Baylor University and an MFA from the University of North Texas. Her work, which has entered collections such as the Bradbury Art Museum, explores themes of home, memory, and displacement through works created between 2023 and 2026 in Denton, Fayetteville, Ark., and Roanoke, Va.
