California State University, Northridge (CSUN) President Ellen Neufeldt hosted the fourth student art exhibition, titled "Forms of Growth," at her home last weekend. The exhibition featured works by four student artists—Amber Miller, Charlotte Dumbeck, Destiny Kirchner, and Rodas Alonzo—and was curated by alumna Sarah Bricke. A reception was held where the artists and curator spoke with attendees.
Hull-based nail tech Lucy Allman, who never considered herself an artist, was recruited by curator Lucy Brooke to participate in an art exhibition titled "Mother," organized by The Feminine Urge Collective. Allman created a series of unique nail art pieces using mixed media, including her children's hair and 3D clay, exploring themes of childhood, teenage years, and motherhood. The exhibition runs from 1-17 May 2026 at a pop-up space on Pier Street in Hull.
The Tallahassee Watercolor Society (TaWS) is hosting the opening reception for its 2026 Tri-State Annual Juried Water Media Exhibition on May 28, 2026, at the FSU Museum of Fine Arts in Tallahassee, Florida. The exhibition features works by local artists from Florida, Georgia, and Alabama, and is juried by nationally renowned watercolor artist Don Andrews, a past board director of the American Watercolor Society whose paintings have earned multiple awards including three from the American Watercolor Society and two Best of Show awards from the New England Watercolor Society.
A new commercial gallery called the Runjeet Singh Gallery is opening in Leamington town centre at 37 Chandos Street. Its inaugural weekend runs from April 24 to 26, 2026, and it plans to present a rotating program of solo and group exhibitions focusing on artists from the South Asian diaspora.
The Watercolor USA national competitive exhibition, a prestigious showcase of contemporary American watercolor painting, opens on Saturday, May 30, at the Spiva Center for the Arts, located in the Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex in Joplin, Missouri. This marks the second year Spiva has hosted the event, which was originally a signature exhibition of the Springfield Art Museum since its inception in 1962, but has moved temporarily while the museum undergoes renovation.
