Goole Museum has issued a call for local artists to submit works for its 12th annual Open Art Exhibition, which will open on March 21, 2026. The museum welcomes all mediums including paintings, illustrations, textiles, sculptures, ceramics, and digital entries, with a particular invitation for pieces inspired by Goole's bicentenary—200 years since the town was built as a purpose-built port. Submissions can be dropped off on specified dates in early March, and the exhibition runs until May 16.
The 2026 Governor's Capitol Art Exhibition will open at the Wyoming Capitol on February 9, featuring local artist Alexandra Hansen of Aladdin among 53 artists selected from 383 entries by 152 artists. Resource Depot in West Palm Beach, Florida, has opened its 8th Annual Waste to Wonder juried group exhibition. The show features 21 local artists who create artworks from discarded materials sourced from the organization's inventory, transforming items like textiles, plastics, and industrial scraps into sculptures and mixed-media pieces. The exhibition runs through February 26, 2026, in the Pam Sartory GalleRE at the depot's headquarters.
Local Asheville painter Greg "Tall Greg" Carr has been selected as the inaugural artist-in-residence for The Wyre, a new housing complex in the city's River Arts District.
