Seremban mural alley hailed as longest in country

Seremban's Lorong Seni, a kilometer-long back alley behind pre-war shophouses, has been recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records as the longest art alley in the country. The project, coordinated by Zakir Amir Mohd Derus, involved seven local artists working in stages over five years (2019-2024) with a RM2.5 million budget from Seremban City Hall. The murals focus on local history, traditions, sports, and multicultural harmony, and the alley is now closed to vehicles on weekends to allow public enjoyment.
