Skateboard Art Exhibit to display 80 students’ artwork

The Tioga Arts Council, in partnership with the Floyd Hooker Foundation and the Tioga County Youth Bureau, is hosting a Skateboard Art Exhibition at Owego Free Academy featuring artwork from 80 students. Artist Mark Rivard, through his program Do Rad Things, will lead seminars from April 27-30 covering motivational speaking, art entrepreneurship, and skateboard design, culminating in a public exhibition on May 1 at the Tioga Arts Council in Owego, New York.

‘Let’s Go Fly A Kite’ Show Opens Friday, May 1 At Fuller Lodge Art Center Gallery

The Los Alamos Arts Council and the Plein Air Painters of New Mexico present 'Let’s Go Fly A Kite', a paint-out and exhibition opening Friday, May 1 at the Fuller Lodge Art Center Gallery. The show features works created by 28 local and regional artists who painted outdoors at the 30th Annual Kite Festival and around the community, with many pieces depicting kites and their fliers at Overlook Park. A reception for LAAC members runs from 4:30-5:30 PM, followed by a public reception from 5:30-7 PM; the exhibition continues through May 29th.

Call for Artists: Maple Valley Days Arts Festival 2026

The Maple Valley Creative Arts Council (MVCAC) is now accepting applications for the Maple Valley Days Arts Festival, a juried community art event scheduled for June 12–14, 2026 at Lake Wilderness Lodge in Maple Valley, Washington. The festival invites regional artists and artisans to exhibit and sell works across multiple mediums including painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, woodwork, jewelry, and handcrafted goods, with a new dedicated Textile Exhibition highlighting fiber arts. Selected participants will have their work displayed over three days, with awards presented at a VIP Opening Gala on June 12.

SWANSEA: British Art Show 10 confirmed for Glynn Vivian next year — the only Welsh stop on a national tour featuring artists from Tracey Emin to Grayson Perry

Swansea has been confirmed as the only Welsh stop on the British Art Show 10 national tour, with the exhibition taking place at the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery from February 12 to May 16, 2027. Titled 'A Chorus of Strangers,' the show will also feature venues including the new home for Elysium Gallery and potentially Y Storfa, and will explore themes of Moments of Being, Ways of Living, and States of Nature across various media. Curated by Ekow Eshun, the tour launches in Coventry in October 2026 before visiting Swansea, Bristol, Sheffield, and Newcastle-Gateshead.
