Youth and Older Artists Collaborate on New Marin Art Exhibit Challenging Ageism
The Marin Cultural Association, in collaboration with Youth in Arts, presents “What About Age?,” a new exhibition at the Marin County Civic Center gallery from January 26 through May 6. The show features graphic art panels by New York-based writer and illustrator Aubrey Hirsch, originally curated by Dr. Stacey Gordon and displayed at NYU’s Kimmel Windows. Expanding on the original, Youth in Arts paired teen artists (ages 13-19) from its Intensive Arts Mentorship program with older adult artists (ages 65 and over) to create over 35 collaborative works challenging stereotypes about aging.
