A wave of major solo exhibitions by prominent women artists is taking place across the UK in 2025 and 2026, featuring Emma Talbot, Joy Gregory, Tracey Emin, and Caroline Walker. All four artists share a formative educational background, having studied at the Royal College of Art (RCA).
A coalition called Health Workers 4 Palestine has organized an art auction, Seeds of Solidarity, to support medical professionals in Gaza. Taking place on 1 February at the Savoy hotel in London, the auction features works donated by 21 visual artists including Antony Gormley, Brian Eno, Mona Hatoum, Lisa Brice, Caroline Walker, and Hassan Hajjaj. Proceeds will benefit the Gaza Medics Solidarity Fund, which provides stipends to doctors, supports mobile clinics, and helps reconstruct maternity wards in the enclave. The sale is curated by Zayna Al-Saleh, known for her Voices of Palestine auctions that have raised over $1.4 million.
The Georgetown Art Center (GAC) has issued an open call for its 2027 exhibition season, inviting U.S.-based artists working in any medium to propose monthlong solo exhibitions featuring work created within the past three years. Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of three artists—Caroline Walker, Mark Greenwalt, and Molly Mansfield—each of whom had solo shows at GAC in 2025. Selected artists receive a $500 honorarium, promotional support, and opportunities for an opening reception, artist talk, and masterclass. The deadline for submissions is February 28, 2026, with a $45 fee.
London's Art on the Underground programme has announced its 2026 lineup, featuring new public artworks by Hurvin Anderson, Caroline Walker, Phoebe Boswell, and Ain Bailey. Anderson will create a commission for Brixton station tied to his long-standing studio in the area, while Walker will depict women working night shifts on the Jubilee line. Boswell will install photographic assemblages at Bethnal Green and Notting Hill Gate stations focusing on Black swimming communities, and Bailey will produce an audio piece for Waterloo station highlighting closed London venues.
