French artist JR is transforming the Pont-Neuf in Paris into a giant inflatable cave structure, titled "La Caverne du Pont-Neuf," set to debut on May 23, 2026. The project, conceived with producer Vladimir Yavachev, pays homage to Christo and Jeanne-Claude's 1985 wrapped Pont-Neuf, using inflatable techniques inspired by Christo's unrealized designs. JR's team built a prototype in a hangar at Orly, and the work involves complex permissions from the French president, the Paris mayor, and local authorities.

Mexican artist Elina Chauvet has accused Romanian news anchor Alessandra Stoicescu of plagiarizing her famous installation, "Zapatos Rojos" (Red Shoes). The dispute arose after Stoicescu organized a public intervention titled "Dragostea poartă pantofii roșii" outside the Romanian Athenaeum to mark new femicide legislation, featuring hundreds of red shoes in a manner nearly identical to Chauvet’s long-running global project. Chauvet claims this is the second time Stoicescu has co-opted her work without authorization or credit, following a similar incident in 2018.
Chauvet Arts in downtown Nashville has opened a new exhibition titled "The Gallery of Impossible Dreams," running from December 13, 2025, to January 23, 2026. The show features works by new artists Andy Llanes Busto and Lisyanet Rodriguez, alongside long-time gallery artists Carlos Gamez de Francisco, Brandon Jones, Greer Wilkins, and Jorge Yances, with a special collection of photography, field and audio recordings by Philip Holsinger.
