On View: 'Jack Whitten: The Messenger' at Museum of Modern Art in New York is First Full Retrospective of Pioneering Artist

The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York has opened "Jack Whitten: The Messenger," the first full-scale retrospective of the pioneering abstract artist Jack Whitten (1939-2018). The exhibition features over 175 works spanning six decades, including paintings, sculptures, and works on paper, alongside archival materials.
