24th Tehran Auction realizes about $1.5m
The 24th Tehran Auction, dedicated to contemporary Iranian art, concluded on Friday with total sales of $1,472,130. The top lot was Reza Derakhshani's painting “One Golden Winter Hunt,” which sold for $154,000. The auction featured 120 works by 117 artists across painting, calligraphy-painting, sculpture, and photography, with only six pieces remaining unsold. Other high-selling works included Masoud Arabshahi's “Relief” ($138,600), Kourosh Shishegaran's “Still Life” ($138,000), and untitled paintings by Parviz Kalantari ($55,000) and Farideh Lashai ($52,000).
